CANOPY REDUCTIONS
This is a reduction of the height and/or spread of the crown of a tree. By reducing the size of the crown you can in turn reduce the amount of stress put on branches. The tree has less sail area and is less susceptible to wind.
CROWN LIFTING, THINNING, PRUNING & DEADWOOD
Crown lifting is the removal of the lowest branches. This method of pruning is often used when access is required under the tree. Crown thinning is the removal of smaller branches throughout the tree, designed to create a uniform density.
TREE FELLING & DISMANTLING
As trees mature often branches will die within the crown. This process prevents any falling debris creating any issues with targets below. Often trees have to be removed entirely, and one way to do this is to fell them.
Stump Grinding
Very often after trees are removed, the stumps left behind can cause issues, whether this be aesthetically, or preventing things such as re-planting or building construction. We offer a stump grinding service which removes the stump to a required depth bellow ground level.
Hedge Trimming
New hedges require formative pruning for their first two years after planting, which involves minor pruning to promote a good shape and form as it turns into an established hedge. Formative pruning is carried out in winter or early spring, after which maintenance trimming is required.
TPO Applications
It is often the case that trees are covered by a TPO (Tree protection order), or fall within a Conservation area. These forms of protection are put in place to prevent unnecessary works being carried out on trees which may offer amenity value, or offer another benefit to its location.
